MANILA, Philippines — Competing against a number of other real estate services firms in the country, Jones Lang LaSalle Leechiu (JLLL) was named Best Property Consultancy for the Philippines by the 2011 Asia Pacific Property Awards in association with Bloomberg Television.

On May 31, Jones Lang LaSalle Leechiu will be competing with other property consultants in Asia Pacific to represent the region in a bigger global competition “that intends to recognize excellence in the property industry worldwide and to promote an international standard,” according to Stuart Shield, chairman of the International Property Awards.
In his letter to Jones Lang LaSalle Leechiu notifying the company of the honor it had earned, Shield explained: “The highest scoring five-star winner from each category of these awards will be automatically put forward for re-judging against the five-star winners in other regions of the world – Europe, Africa, Arabia, UK and Americas.”
The International Property Awards was established 10 years ago in London to celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.According to its website www.propertyawards.net, “An International Property Award is a world-renowned mark of excellence.”
Attaining the Property Consultancy for the Philippines award serves as evidence that Jones Lang LaSalle Leechiu is capable of holding its own against other strong contenders within the highly competitive Asia Pacific Property arena. The Asia Pacific region scooped seven World’s Best awards in the finals of 2009 and 2010. These awards include: Best Hotel Construction and Design, Best Mixed-Use Development, Best Office Development, Best Redevelopment, Best Retail Development, The Architecture Award for various categories including hotel, mixed-use, public service, among others.
The judging panel is chaired by Lord Bates of Langbaurgh and consists of more than 60 professionals whose collective knowledge of the property industry is unsurpassed by any other property awards. This year’s judges include James Bacon, UK account manager of Google; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property professionals; David Dalbyof the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and Mike McNamara of the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
David Leechiu, country head of JLLL, disclosed that he was extremely proud of his team. “I believe the company’s consistent delivery of excellent service across a number of sectors and property lines made this honor possible.
